Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) by Ground

NABET 700-M UNIFOR is now offering an ongoing online course on the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) by Ground Training. Canadian law requires that anyone shipping, handling, or transporting dangerous goods be trained to follow Transport Canada's standards using relevant transportation.

This TDG online certification program has been developed in compliance with Transport Canada's Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act and Regulations.

A TDG certificate is valid for three years and is not transferable. A new certificate is required each time a worker changes employment.

WHMIS Training

Canadian law requires that anyone exposed to hazardous materials be trained in the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System, commonly known as WHMIS.

In Ontario, WHMIS applies to all workplaces covered by the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and federally regulated workplaces governed by the Canada Labour Code (the Code).

NABET 700-M UNIFOR offers WHMIS training on an ongoing basis at a subsidized rate for our Members and Permittees. While it is not a requirement for NABET 700-M UNIFOR membership, more and more production companies are requesting technicians to obtain the certification.
