NABET 700-M UNIFOR is pleased to launch the Props 2.0 advanced training course that provides an in-depth look at the upper positions of the Collective Agreement: Props Buyer, Props Builder, and Props Master. See below for full course outline. Participants will also be given a Templates Bundle for future use, e.g., Budget/Breakdown with pre-set formulas, Props Run Sheet, Props Image Sheet, and more!

Part 2: Props Buying
-General Duties and Responsibilities
-Communication
-Research, Vendors and Resources

Part 3: Props Mastering (Being a Department Head)
-General Kit List and Budgeting
-Departmental Divisions

Note: Students will receive additional resources to pursue in-depth, time-intensive, hands-on training for speciality skills outside of NABET, especially for Prop Building. Additionally, those seeking a position upgrade within the Props Department must meet departmental criteria. This course is open to Props Members in advance. This course will be open to other departments on a first come, first served basis 

Instructor:
Samantha Little
is a NABET 700-M Props Master, Buyer and Builder with over 10 years of experience in film and TV. She also is a DGC Production Manager and CMPA producer member with her company Little Productions. Samantha also has a long history of teaching and education at all levels. She has been mentoring in film and television through WiFT and CMPA Programs. She created an apprenticeship program for young stage managers in classical music and graduated over a dozen new SMs. She ran her own teaching studio as an RCM affiliate teacher as well as two private academies for over 20 years with hundreds of students as well as worked with the TDSB in curriculum development.
