GrandMA2 Basics Workshop

This workshop will provide you with a basic understanding of GrandMA2 and how it operates in film, and be able to pursue more in-depth GrandMA training and will cover the following topics:

Intro to DMX and Universes

  • Patching in a light

  • Attributes and encoders

  • Pools and Pre-sets

  • Storing views

  • Universal vs Global vs Selective

  • Sequences and cues

  • Tracking vs cue-only

  • Fade times, MIB, loops

  • Networking, IP addresses, sessions and protocols

  • switches, nodes and wireless transmitters

  • Users, global settings, tips and trick

Participants MUST bring a laptop or tablet to the workshop with the free GrandMA2 software downloaded on it. The link to the software will be provided after registration at the workshop.

Please note: This is an introductory workshop. It does not qualify participants as Certified Board Operators.
