Format: In-person

Topics include engine alternators, grounding, bonding, operations, temporary power sources, electrical distribution systems, transformer theory, etc. The course is comprised of 75% theory and 25% practical training. Our instructors are industry professionals who possess a wide variety of expertise, knowledge and practical experiences.

This training program is designed to equip you with the following skills:

  • OPERATION: Ensure a safe, reliable, and compliant supply of electrical power to the production. Protect personnel from injury.

  • FUEL: Ensure the Generator has enough fuel. Prevent fuel and coolant leaks.

  • PROFESSIONALISM: Be responsible for the rental house's safe operation and equipment return. Adhere to the production’s code of ethics. Be a professional through ongoing training.

CSA footwear and a high-visibility vest are mandatory. Calculator and multi-meter optional, but highly recommend.

Payment is required up front. There are no holds or reservations. Payments are processed by phone Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with VISA, VISA Debit, MasterCard, and AmEX. Should you need to pay with cash (exact change only) or a debit card, please make an appointment with NABET Reception.

An advanced two-day seminar includes basic skills/hands-on experience operating entertainment industry generators, associated electrical safety practices, and on-set protocol.
