This comprehensive 2-day course will give you the skills you need to safely operate a telehandler and a counterbalance forklift. Training in both machines includes:

• Formal classroom learning

• A supervised, practical hands-on component

• An evaluation by an authorized instructor

• The proper selection, design, and operation of these vehicles with special attention paid to capacity and stability

• Pre-start inspections

• Overhead guards

• Hydraulic safety

• Use of personal protective equipment

• Legislation, regulations, and standards related to operation and maintenance

• Safe operating rules and practices when dealing with hazards specific to the operation of a forklift

Licences are valid for 3 years. Participants should bring their safety boots and safety glasses.
